Uploading files

I have faced this problem earlier as well. I wish to update my site, I have to upload 298 files, but delete all the existing files first. Multiple selection using shift does not work. It is a pain deleting over 280 files one file at a time with confirmation. This is highly unethical. Can you please enable this ?
